Abstract

This is qualitative research. The objectives were to study the management of OTOP Nawatwithi Community-Based Tourism in Khon Kaen Province. The results were as follows: Management of OTOP Nawatwithi Community-Based Tourism in Khon Kaen Province. The concepts of the management of man, money, materials and general management were used in the five steps of the operational process including improving the potential of tourism officials, improving tourist attractions and facilities, improving local products and services for tourists, linking tourism routes of each locality and promoting community-based tourism marketing. For man management, an understanding and shared the same goal were created, a committee board appointed, and training courses provided for local business owners.  For money management, sources of funding within the community were sought and the budget for community development managed with support from the government.  For materials management, materials and equipment found in the village were used, buying only what was necessary from several offices for improving surroundings and buildings.  For general management, a public hearing was set up to educate villagers about the election of a board committee and the tourism potential of the village was investigated in order to design activities for tourism, local products, as well as a logo and slogan for the village.  Both online and word of mouth were used as public relations methods.
