The development of learning activities that focus on Davies’ Instructional Model of Career and Technology on Food and Nutrition of Prathomsuksa 4 students

Abstract
The purposes of this study were to 1) study background information and
needs to develop learning activities that focus on Davies’ Instructional Model of Career and Technology on Food and Nutrition of Prathomsuksa 4 students 2) develop learning activities that focus on Davies’ Instructional Model of Career and Technology on Food and Nutrition of Prathomsuksa 4 students to meet the 80/80 efficiency criterion 3) compare practical skills of Prathomsuksa 4 students before and after using Davies’ Instructional Model lesson plans 4) compare learning achievement of Prathomsuksa 4 students before and after using Davies’ Instructional Model lesson plans 5) to study the satisfaction of the students toward Davies’ Instructional Model lesson plans. The sampling group of interview included 4 teachers in Career and Technology and 6 students in Prathomsuksa 4 by purposive sampling. The samples of questionnaire of problems and needs of learning activities that focus on practical skills consisted of 33 students in Prathomsuksa 4/3 Bansrimaharacha Municipal School, Sriracha Municipality, Chonburi Province, semester 1, academic year 2017 by cluster sampling. The samples of this study consisted of 35 students in Prathomsuksa 4/2 Bansrimaharacha Municipal School, Sriracha Municipality, Chonburi Province, semester 2, academic year 2017 by cluster sampling. The instruments used included 1) questionnaire on problems and needs of learning activities that focus on practical skills 2) interview of teachers on students’ practical skills development 3) interview of students on practical skills needs 4) 7 Davies’ Instructional Model lesson plans in 14 hours 5) practical skills evaluation 6) learning achievement test 7) satisfaction survey questions and 8) Davies’ Instructional Model learning activities handbook. The statistic used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test dependent.
The results of the study were as follow :
- The result of studying background information and needs to develop learning
Activities found that 1) students should be promoted more practical skills 2) students should be promoted group practices and interesting practical skills 3) students needs more practices for better skills and they believed that good practice makes better confident. 4) the evaluation of Davies’ Instructional Model lesson plans by experts was at the highest level.
- The result of development of learning activities that focus on Davies’
Instructional Model of Career and Technology on Food and Nutrition of Prathomsuksa 4 students had efficiency 84.56/84.25 which met the criteria 80/80.
- Students’ practical skills after using Davies’ Instructional Model lesson
plans of Career and Technology on Food and Nutrition of Prathomsuksa 4 students was significantly higher than before using Davies’ Instructional Model lesson plans at the .05 level.
- Students' learning achievement after using Davies’ Instructional Model lesson
plans of Career and Technology on Food and Nutrition of Prathomsuksa 4 students was significantly higher than before using Davies’ Instructional Model lesson plans at the .05 level.
- Students’ satisfaction on Davies’ Instructional Model lesson plans of Career and
Technology on Food and Nutrition of Prathomsuksa 4 students was overall high level.
