Tourists visiting the hot springs primarily come during major festivals, which drive travel to Phetchabun Province. The approaches for promoting the hot spring business, based on the opinions of the operators, can be summarized as follows: There should be increased public relations efforts, especially promoting nearby tourist spots that are easily accessible. Service fees should be reasonably priced, not too expensive, and promotions should be offered during festivals to attract customers. Additionally, tours of nearby tourist attractions could be organized. Tourists of all genders and ages should be able to access and enjoy the services. Local authorities should be encouraged to promote health tourism in the area. The hot springs should also be developed into a learning center, with additional services such as Thai massage, foot massage, spa treatments, exercise facilities, and safe, convenient accommodations.
Kan KhoomsabMongkol NarasriChanakan WinyakulNarumon JanmaSuwat Sirikaensai

https://so04.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jar/article/view/276944

Vocabulary acquisition is a fundamental component in developing English language skills. However, studies show that higher education students face challenges with insufficient vocabulary knowledge for everyday communication, lack effective vocabulary learning strategies, and demonstrate low learning motivation. International research confirms a direct correlation between vocabulary knowledge and success in foreign language learning. This study aimed to compare English vocabulary learning achievement before and after using Quizlet online flashcards and to examine students' opinions and motivation regarding the use of this tool. The sample consisted of 31 second-year undergraduate students from Poh-Chang Academy of Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin. The instruments for data collection included pre- and post-vocabulary knowledge tests, a questionnaire on opinions, and interviews to study learning motivation. The research findings revealed that post-test scores after learning with Quizlet online flashcards were significantly higher than pre-test scores at the 0.05 level of statistical significance. Students expressed moderate opinions about the tool, with most reporting enjoyment in learning through this activity, improved ability to learn, remember, and review vocabulary, and enhanced learning motivation through an engaging atmosphere and classroom participation. Additionally, students suggested continued use of this activity in the classroom because it increases vocabulary learning efficiency without impacting teaching time in other subjects.
Natthicha Siangwan

2025-03-312025-03-31301322333Roles of Academic Association and Research and Innovation Ecosystem of Nation
https://so04.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jar/article/view/277762

This Academic article to study the role of research affects the development of a competitiveness of nation by enhancing technological advancement and innovation, which leads to economic and social growth, as well as national security. The research and innovation ecosystem involves research funders, researchers, and universities, which have interdependent relationships at both local and global levels. Stakeholders in research include the government, academics, and the industrial sector, which play mutually supportive roles. Researchers can be categorized based on their formal or informal status and whether they are within or outside the system into four types: active researchers, passive researchers, retired researchers, and raw researchers. The research and innovation structure in Thailand consists of policy levels, policy driving levels, management and funding levels, operational levels, and beneficiary levels. However, it lacks the role of academic associations that connect scholars, researchers, and experts in specific fields or disciplines. The importance of academic associations lies in promoting research and scholarly activities, developing the professional skills of members, fostering networks and collaboration, providing guidance and representation, disseminating knowledge, and establishing standards and accreditation. These academic associations should participate in the research and innovation ecosystem because they are non-profit organizations that can operate flexibly. They serve as a gathering point for scholars across institutional boundaries, provide a platform for retired researchers to remain active, and can create a research value chain. It is recommended to establish the Thailand Researcher Council as an agency focused on researchers to develop researchers and increase their numbers. Researchers who meet the professional standards set by the Thailand Professional Qualification Institute (Public Organization) should have special privileges in applying for grants through expedited consideration. Additionally, a network of academic associations should be established, with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) serving as the central hub for this network.
Phiphat Nonthnathorn
