Teacher Competencies and Challenges in Educational Management in the Era of Artificial Intelligence

This academic article aims to analyze and synthesize the essential competencies required of teachers to address the challenges of educational management in the era of artificial intelligence (AI), which has transformed teachers’ roles from knowledge transmitters into learning designers and facilitators. The article employs a documentary review and an integrative synthesis of relevant literature, concepts, theories, and studies concerning teacher competencies and educational management in the digital era, drawing on both international perspectives and the Thai educational context.

The synthesis reveals that essential teacher competencies in the AI era can be categorized into five domains: 1. digital and artificial intelligence literacy, 2. higher-order thinking skills, 3. active learning management competency, 4. ethics and values competency, and 5. lifelong learning competency. In addition, the analysis identifies key challenges in educational management in the AI era, including digital inequality, ethical risks associated with the use of technology, and limitations in teacher readiness and institutional support systems. This article presents a synthesized conceptual framework that serves as a knowledge base for teacher competency development, educational management, and educational policy formulation, supporting effective and sustainable responses to societal changes in the era of artificial intelligence.

Analyzing the Use of Legal Measures in Managing Municipal Solid Waste by Local Administrative Organization

This academic article aims to examine legal measures employed by local administrative organizations in managing municipal solid waste. The study explores the concepts and principles of solid waste management, as well as various legal measures implemented by local administrative organizations. Relevant Literature review and analysis of documents identifying the effective and sustainable legal measures for community solid waste management were also studied.

The findings indicated that local administrative organizations were responsible for managing municipal solid waste through both policy and legal measures. In particular, legal measures played a crucial role in the waste management. The management process included waste separation, waste collection, transportation, and disposal process. Waste separation should be supported by legal measures, employing waste collection taxes based on color-coded waste bags, which should be enforced among the public. Implementing the principle of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) as a legal measure also required producers of packaging and products to take responsibility throughout the entire lifecycle of their goods. This included production, design, distribution, take-back systems, and disposal process when packaging and products became waste. This approach aims to ensure effective management of used packaging and products through recycling, thereby reducing the overall volume of solid waste generated.

Error Analysis and Teaching Strategies of Adverb “就是 (Jiushi)” by Students at Prince of Songkla University

This study systematically analyzes the error types and causes of the adverb "jiùshì" based on the proficiency hierarchy framework, integrating error analysis with language input and output theories. It proposes corresponding tiered teaching strategies. By examining error corpora from Chinese majors across four grades at Prince of Songkla University and combining Lu Jianji and Zhou Xiaobing's error categorization, the error types are classified into six categories: omission, redundant addition, inappropriate substitution, misordering, structural blending, and overgeneralization. The research reveals that first and second-year students demonstrate remarkably similar patterns in total output and error type distribution, thus classified as Stage I, followed by third-year (Stage II) and fourth-year students (Stage III). Error causes are identified as: L1 negative transfer and insufficient language input for Stage I; overgeneralization of target language rules and contextual insensitivity for Stage II; and inadequate input quality with fossilization effects for Stage III. The tiered pedagogical strategies propose: 1. Chinese-Thai comparative analysis and structural drills for Stage I; 2. semantic mapping modeling and contextualized tasks for Stage II; 3. input-output integration with metalinguistic awareness training and digital tools for Stage III. The developed three-dimensional "Error Analysis-Proficiency Tiering-Dynamic Strategy" teaching model demonstrates extensibility to other Chinese adverb instruction, providing robust pedagogical support for Thai Chinese-learning contexts.

An Assessment of Students’ Needs in the Special Program in Visual Arts and Design for Developing Curriculum Management Guidelines Towards Excellence: A Case Study of the Demonstration School of Silpakorn University (Secondary Level)

This research aimed to assess the needs of students in the Special Program in Visual Arts and Design regarding curriculum management strategies for excellence, using the Demonstration School of Silpakorn University (Secondary Level) as the case study. The target population consisted of 120 students enrolled in the Special Program in Visual Arts and Design. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire with an overall reliability coefficient of 0.98. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, priority needs index ranking, and content analysis.

The findings revealed that the students’ perceptions of the current state of curriculum management was at a moderate level (M = 3.91, S.D. = 0.66), while the desired state was rated at a high level (M = 4.23, S.D. = 0.48). The overall modified Priority Needs Index (PNI_modified) was 0.076. The aspect with the highest need was “Support and Resources for Curriculum Implementation,” followed by “Content and Curriculum Structure Appropriateness,” “Curriculum Satisfaction,” “Evaluation and Transparency,” and “Learning Outcomes and Application,” respectively. These results can serve as a foundation for developing effective curriculum management strategies to enhance excellence in the special program.

A Study on The Representation of Thailand in People's Daily (2013 - 2023) and National Image Construction

This study aims to analyze the reports on Thailand in People's Daily from 2013 to 2023 and explore how the newspaper shapes Thailand's national image in the political, economic, cultural, and social domains. Through quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis of 661 relevant reports, the study reveals how Chinese mainstream media portray Thailand and the potential diplomatic strategies involved. This research combines both quantitative and qualitative methods, utilizing word frequency analysis and sentiment analysis tools, with data processing and analysis conducted using Python programming. The study extracts reports containing the keyword "Thailand" from the People's Daily database and classifies them while analyzing their sentiment tendencies. The results show that People's Daily primarily emphasizes the cooperation between China and Thailand in the political and economic fields, creating a positive diplomatic atmosphere. Meanwhile, some social issues are portrayed negatively. In the cultural domain, the reports highlight the historical and cultural ties between the two countries, particularly through education and cultural exchanges, further promoting bilateral relations. This study provides a new perspective on how Chinese media shape national images in international communication and offers suggestions for improving future reporting.

Implementing Board Games Combined with Cooperative Learning on Civil and Criminal Law Achievement of Grade 9 Students

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of learning management through the integration of board games and cooperative learning in the subject of civil and criminal law for Grade 9 students. Specifically, the objectives were to compare students’ learning achievement before and after the implementation of the instructional approach and to investigate students’ satisfaction with the learning activities. The sample comprised 24 Grade 9 students from Classroom 3/2 at Singhaphahu ‘Prasanmit Upatham’ School in Sing Buri Province. Participants were recruited through cluster random sampling with classrooms as the sampling units. The research instruments included lesson plans incorporating board games and cooperative learning, a learning achievement test, and a student satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and the paired samples t-test.

The results indicated that students' post-instruction learning achievement was significantly higher than their pre-instruction achievement (t(23) = 10.842, p < .001). The findings also indicated that students were highly satisfied with the learning management system ( = 4.40, S.D. = 0.21), particularly regarding enjoyment, learning motivation, and collaborative engagement. These findings suggest that integrating board games with cooperative learning not only enhances academic achievement but also fosters positive attitudes and sustained interest in civics. Moreover, the instructional approach demonstrates strong potential for adaptation and application across other social studies subjects.

Exploring the Practical Principles of Guide Textbook Compilation: Taking "Basic Knowledge of Local Tour Guides" Published by China Tourism Press as an Example

This study takes the book "Basic Knowledge of Local Tour Guides" published by China Tourism Press as an example. By comprehensively using the literature review method to systematically sort out previous research results, and combining the case analysis method to analyze specific textbook examples in detail, it deeply explores the practical principles and effective implementation strategies of tour guide textbook writing. Research has found that 'Basic Knowledge of Local Tour Guides' demonstrates high practicality in terms of textbook content, teaching methods, and post class exercises. This textbook is centered around practical orientation, emphasizing the combination of theory and practice. By setting up practical activities such as case analysis and simulated training, it effectively enhances students' ability to solve practical problems. At the same time, the textbook accurately grasps the needs and characteristics of tour guide students in terms of reader positioning, with reasonable content arrangement, clear structure, complete knowledge system, and diversified teaching methods, effectively stimulating students' learning interest. Based on this, this study proposes strategies to enhance the practicality of tour guide textbooks, including strengthening practical teaching, optimizing textbook structure and content, and adopting diversified teaching methods and means.

Developing EFL Writing Accuracy and Self - Editing Awareness Through AI - Supported MAP - WRITE Instruction

Nowadays, many learners rely on artificial intelligence (AI) tools to revise their writing without actively learning from the feedback provided, which may limit the development of their writing skills. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the MAP–WRITE instructional process, integrated with guided use of AI, in enhancing grammatical accuracy and students’ ability to self-edit their writing, as well as to explore students’ perceptions and attitudes toward the MAP – WRITE process and AI - assisted writing. The participants were 25 first-year English-major students at a university in Thailand who received MAP – WRITE instruction over a 16-week period using a single-group pretest–posttest quasi-experimental design. Data were collected through picture-based paragraph writing tests, questionnaires, and semi-structured interviews, and were analyzed using paired-sample t-tests, descriptive statistics, and thematic analysis.

The results revealed a statistically significant improvement in posttest writing scores compared with pretest scores (p = .0028), with a medium-to-large effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.66). Although the numerical gains were modest, they align with the nature of grammar-based writing development, which progresses gradually. Students reported moderate to high perceived improvement in grammatical accuracy and expressed positive attitudes toward both the MAP – WRITE process and the use of AI. Qualitative findings further indicated that the effectiveness of AI depended on how it was used; students who engaged with AI critically demonstrated greater grammatical awareness and were better able to revise and produce grammatically accurate writing independently.

The Culinary Assimilation of Hakka Cuisine among Thai-Hakka Descendants in Betong District, Yala Province

This study aims to examine the acculturation of Hakka cuisine among Thai Hakka Chinese communities in Betong District, Yala Province. Data were collected from 13 Chinese restaurants using a qualitative research approach, including participant observation, food tasting, in-depth interviews, menu surveys, and documentary research.

The findings reveal that the acculturation of Hakka cuisine in the area can be classified into three categories: 1. acculturation of ingredients, 2. acculturation of cooking methods, and 3. acculturation of both ingredients and cooking methods. The primary influencing factors include social, economic, and cultural elements, which contribute to the transformation of traditional culinary practices while maintaining a balanced preservation of cultural identity. Based on the findings, the study recommends promoting and preserving Hakka cuisine through educational and cultural initiatives such as food festivals, traditional cooking demonstrations, and the development of a local food database. These efforts aim to enhance cultural awareness and pride and can further support cultural development and sustainable gastronomic tourism in Thailand's southern border provinces.

Development of Listening and Speaking Skills of The Chinese Language and Learning Attitudes Through Activity - Based Learning for Lower Elementary School Students

This research aimed to 1. compare the Chinese listening and speaking skills of students before and after instruction using activity - based learning, and 2. analyze students’ attitudes toward activity - based learning. The sample group of this research was 21 lower elementary students (Grades 1 - 3) enrolled in a Chinese language club during the second semester of 2024. They were selected using purposive selection. The research instruments included 1) lesson plans based on activity-based learning, 2) a test to measure listening and speaking skills in Chinese for lower elementary students, and 3) a student attitude questionnaire toward activity-based learning. The statistical methods used for data analysis included the mean, standard deviation, and nonparametric statistics using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test.

The research results found that 1. students' listening and speaking skills in Chinese significantly improved after learning through activity - based learning management at a significance level of .05, and 2. the attitude of students toward activity - based learning management was at a high level ( = 4.44, S.D. = 0.53).

The Lost Artistry of Language Expression in Translating Chinese SUYU in The Thai Version of the Novel "WENCHENG"

This article aims to examine the lost artistry of language expression in translating Chinese SUYU in the novel "WENCHENG", thai dubbed version. The study found that the translator primarily employed the literal translation technique to preserve the distinctiveness of the expressions and balance a syllabic structure in Thai. However, certain implicit meanings of Chinese SUYU and the true emphasis of their meaning were lost or overlooked in some aspects, resulting in the translator inadvertent, diminishing the artistry of language expression in the Thai translation version compared to the original Chinese text.

The study indicates that preserving the artistry of language expression in the translation of Chinese SUYU requires a strong emphasis on contextual interpretation. The translators should adopt comparative translation strategies by selecting Thai idiomatic expressions that share similar rhetorical features, such as metaphors, imagery, and tone, in order to preserve the reader’s aesthetic experience. In addition, attention should be paid to the cultural, historical, and underlying messages conveyed through idioms in the literary context. Furthermore, due to the inherently colloquial nature of Chinese SUYU, translators may consider using colloquial Thai equivalents that incorporate figurative comparisons and evoke similar imagery and conceptual associations to preserve the artistry of Chinese SUYU expression.

Medical Examination Quality of The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand Specifically in The Migration Health Assessment Center

This research article aims to achieve three primary objectives: 1. To investigate the quality of medical examination services provided by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand, specifically within the Migration Health Assessment Center; 2. To compare the service quality based on personal factors, including gender, age, occupation, and income; and 3. To examine the relationship between service users' expectations and the actual service quality. The sample consisted of 400 individuals utilizing the health assessment services at IOM Thailand. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including Mean and Standard Deviation, as well as inferential statistics, specifically t-tests and One-way ANOVA. In cases where significant differences were identified, the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test was applied for post-hoc analysis.

The research findings are as follows: 1. The quality of medical examination services at IOM Thailand was rated at the highest level, with a mean score of 4.37. 2. The comparison of service quality categorized by personal factors revealed that differences in gender, age, occupation, and income significantly influenced the perceived quality of medical examination services at the 0.00 level, consistent with the established hypothesis. And 3. Service users' expectations were significantly correlated with the quality of medical examination services at the 0.00 level, which also aligns with the research hypothesis.

The Effects of ASEAN Countries’ Traditional Games Activities on Preschool Children’s Social Behaviors, Indarulmeena Kindergarten Development Center, Bangkok

This research aimed to compare preschool children’s social behaviors at Indarulmeena Kindergarten Development Center in Bangkok before and after participation in ASEAN countries’ traditional games activities. The population used in this research consisted of 105 preschool children from three classrooms, boys and girls aged 3 – 4 years who were studying in the Preschool Preparatory Class in the second semester of the academic year 2024 at Indarulmeena Kindergarten Development Center in Bangkok. The sample group used in this research was preschool children, boys and girls, aged 3 – 4 years studying in the Preschool Preparatory Class in the second semester of the academic year 2024 at Indarulmeena Kindergarten Development Center, Bangkok. Cluster random sampling was used to select 1 classroom from 3 classrooms, all of which had similar characteristics. Nemo class was selected, with 35 preschool children. The research instruments consisted of 24 lesson plans of ASEAN countries’ traditional games activities with an IOC of 0.92, and preschool children’s social behaviors observation form, covering 3 aspects, 2 items per aspect, totaling 6 items, with an IOC of 1.00. The experiment lasted for eight weeks, conducted three days per week, 40 minutes per session during outdoor activities. The statistics used in this research were mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

The research results showed that preschool children demonstrated significantly higher social behaviors after participating in ASEAN countries’ traditional games activities compared to before the experiment both overall and in each aspect, namely, accepting individual differences, maintaining positive interactions with others, and demonstrating appropriate behavior as a member of society, with a statistically significant difference at the .05 level.
