THE PROCESS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TEMPLE TO EXCELLENCE IN SUPPORT OF THE ASEAN COMMUNITY

Abstract

This paper examines the process for development the temple to excellence in support of the Asean community. The results show that the temple must be clean, calm and bright with religious place and Dhamma teaching. The development should be integrated in consistency with the  sides of the Sangha: 1)  work for governance, 2) religious education, 3)  propagation, 4) public assistance, 5)  aid for education and 6)  Public housing. 

This is in line with no. 12 of National Economic and Social Development Plan to support the ASEAN community. The development approach is to adapt the methodology of evangelization to guiding principles of living and can be put to practical leads to cultivate good values. Developed in sides such as, 1) develop the temple of local community to be feel that the temple is their own. 2) develop the temple to be the center for social activities together. 3) Develop the relations between the temple and the local people, etc. Development of the complete temple must develop an integrated temple by linking the activities of the Sangha, the economy, society and environment.
