The participants were 115 graduate students from the Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University who graduated within the academic year 2017-2020. The research instrument was questionnaires with a reliability rated value of 0.948. The data was analyzed by using computer software packages to find the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and to compare the differences between the two groups of variables using a t-test.</p> <p>          The results of this research revealed that:</p> <ol> <li>Factors affecting the success in conducting graduate students’ thesis at the Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University, was thesis advisor with the highest average (= 4.67). As for, the students ’self-management (= 4.28), the students’ academic knowledge (= 4.10), the university services (= 4.00), in general, the average was at a high level.</li> <li>After compared factors affecting the success in conducting graduate students’ thesis classified by gender, age, occupation, course of study, and type of research, it was found that gender, age, course of study, and type of research had no significant different effect on the success factor of the thesis. While, occupational classification was found that the factors affecting the success of the dissertation were significantly different in university administration at the level 0.05. As for the academic knowledge of the students, the students’ self-management and the thesis advisors, there was no significant difference in the effect on the success of the thesis at the 0.05 level.</li> <li>Comments on problems and suggestions for success in graduate students’ thesis, Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University were as follows:</li> </ol> <p>            3.1 The top 3 problems encountered in conducting the thesis were</p> <ol> <li>Students have a regular</li> </ol> <p>job and therefore cannot manage their time in the thesis. And it is quite difficult to come to meet their advisor.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>The instruments and</li> </ol> <p>equipment used in the experiment were insufficient, out of date and damaged.</p> <p>               3.The Integrated Thesis &</p> <p>Research Management System (iThesis) is unstable.</p> <p> 3.2 The top 3 recommendations</p> <p>that contributed to the successful completion of the thesis were</p> <ol> <li>Planning and management</li> </ol> <p>of students’ time to achieve as planned.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Diligence, commitment,</li> </ol> <p>patience, punctuality and taking responsibility for their research.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Availability of research</li> </ol> <p>tools, student research funding support, and the promotion of skills in various fields that help students complete their thesis within the time specified in the curriculum.</p>}, number={1}, journal={Mahamakut Graduate School Journal}, author={บุตรวงษ์ สุพรรณิการ์}, year={2022}, month={Jun.} }
