The Development Planning of Kuan Khan Lao Eco-Tourism Attraction by Community Participation at Na Mom District, Songkhla Province

The research aimed to plan the development and design of the Kuan Khan Lao eco-tourism attraction by community participation. The research method was a mixed method, the quantitative research used a random sampling of 395 people, and the qualitative research involved 33 key informants using group meetings.The instruments were a closed-ended questionnaire and a focus group interview form. The arithmetic mean statistics and content analysis were used for data analysis. The study revealed that the development planning of Kuan Khan Lao tourist attractions with the participation of the community in the assessment of the levels of need for development in all areas was at a high level in order as follows: security, access to the tourist attractions, facilities, attractions, marketing, and tourist management. The Kuan Khan Lao area is located on a high hill with beautiful scenery but it is not easy to access. There are narrow and steep roads and there are no electricity and water systems. It can be developed as a tourist attraction by the 5-year tourist attraction development plan (2023-2027) which consists of 4 strategic areas: 1) developing the potential of tourist attractions, 2) strengthening the quality, skills, and abilities of human capital, 3) sustainable management, and 4) marketing and public relations. The design of the Kuan Khan Lao tourist attraction development plan provided attractions that were consistent with the local unique environment, including project name, budget, and operation period. The results of the assessment of community opinions on development planning and the design of the Kuan Khan Lao tourism area were at a high level.

Community Participation in Local Information Management for Intangible Cultural Heritage : Story and Myth in Lan Saka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

This Research aims to study community participation in local information management for cultural heritage, stories, and legends in Lan Saka District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. This is a qualitative research study. Data were collected using in-depth interviews with 25 key informants. The research results found Community participation in local information management, cultural heritage, stories, and legends in Lan Saka District. Nakhon Si Thammarat Province consists of 1) searching for causes and needs of the community and joining together to find causes and needs in the community in searching the cultural heritage database in the Lan Saka District area. 2) Planning and implementation: The community has participated in planning and implementation through cooperation from government agencies planning through meetings at the village and sub-district levels to conduct searches jointly. Collect cultural information of the community 3) Decision making: The community attended a brainstorming meeting to make joint decisions from all parties, consisting of district culture, subdistrict culture, local philosophers, religious leaders, community leaders, local government organizations in the area local educational institutions Community organization groups, youth groups 4) Operations The community is involved in collecting cultural data through school activities training of interpreters for children and youth and interested citizens, and 5) Evaluation: The community has participated in the evaluation of the use of local information that has collected cultural data and stored it in an online format on the website to continue improving and developing the database.
