“พันธกิจของนักเขียนอีสาน”...ในบริบทความทันสมัย จากนิตยสารทางอีศาน

บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อนำเสนอปรากฏการณ์การเคลื่อนไหวทางความ คิดของนักเขียนอีสานในบริบทการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปสู่ความทันสมัย จากนิตยสาร “ทาง อีศาน” ฉบับแฮกหมาน-ฉบับรำลึก 24 มิถุนายน 2475 และฉบับ “โฮมบุญกองทุนทา งอีศาน” รวม 15 ฉบับ นิตยสารทางอีศานเป็นนิตยสารใหม่ที่เกิดขึ้นโดยกลุ่มนักเขียน อีสานที่ต้องการเวทีสำหรับแสดงออกทางความคิดต่อสถานการณ์ความเคลื่อนไหวของ สังคมท้องถิ่นและโลก ซึ่งแบ่งพื้นที่การนำเสนอออกเป็นหลายส่วนเพื่อครอบคลุมประเด็น ประวัติศาสตร์ เศรษฐกิจ สังคม การเมือง วัฒนธรรมและบันเทิง รวมไปถึงความเคลื่อนไหว ในประเด็นสำคัญระดับโลกที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อท้องถิ่น นิตยสารทางอีศานจึงเป็นฐานข้อมูล แสดงความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างอดีตกับปัจจุบันของอีสานและโลก เป็นตัวบท (text) ที่แสดง สภาวะในระหว่าง(in between) วิถีดั้งเดิม (tradition) ของท้องถิ่นอีสานที่กำลังเผชิญ หน้ากับภาวะความทันสมัย (modernity) จนสูญเสียตัวตนทางวัฒนธรรม

ผู้เขียนจึงมุ่งพิจารณาประเด็นทางสังคมผ่านมุมมองของนักเขียนอีสาน ตลอด จนความรู้สึกนึกคิดของผู้คนที่ถูกนำเสนอผ่านนิตยสารทางอีศาน โดยเฉพาะประเด็น ทางสังคมที่อยู่ในสภาวะระหว่างวิถีดั้งเดิมกับความทันสมัย ด้วยมโนทัศน์ทุกข์ทางสังคม (social suffering) และพื้นที่ในระหว่าง (in between) เพื่อตอบคำถามเกี่ยวกับตัวตน คนอีสานในพื้นที่ปะทะประสานระหว่างวิถีดั้งเดิมกับความทันสมัย ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นักเขียนอีสานต่างตระหนักต่อบริบทการพัฒนาที่ได้นำการเปลี่ยนแปลงมาสู่ท้องถิ่นและ โลก โดยบริบทดังกล่าวได้ก่อให้เกิดวิกฤตเชิงคุณค่าและสูญเสียอัตลักษณ์ เพราะผู้คนในวิถีดั้งเดิมส่วนหนึ่งไม่สามารถปรับตัวให้สอดคล้องกับโครงสร้างการพัฒนาไปสู่ความทัน สมัยได้อย่างกลมกลืน ภาวะความอิหลักอิเหลื่อทางวัฒนธรรมทำให้ขาดความเชื่อมั่นใน วัฒนธรรมของตน และแสวงหาการยอมรับด้วยการเลือกเลียนแบบความทันสมัย (copy modernity) โดยปราศจากความเข้าใจความหมายเชิงคุณค่าที่แท้จริงจนกลายเป็นวิกฤต ทางวัฒนธรรม (cultural crisis) ทั้งนี้นักเขียนในกลุ่มทางอีศานเชื่อว่าการขจัดความไม่รู้ ด้วยความรู้ความเข้าใจอย่างรอบด้าน
