Stress Management : A Case Study of Rangsit City Municipality

Abstract

The objective of this study were to 1) study the stress level form working factors of Rangsit City Municipality employee and 2) study relation between working factors including job characteristics, work assigned, and roles assigned with stress management of Rangsit City Municipality employee. Research study was conducted using a quantitative research methods. The data was also gathered through questionnaires answered by 110 samples of the employees of Rangsit City Municipality was carried out in order to obtain the data for the analysis and the discussion of results according to the specified research objective.

The results revealed that the overall of stress level were job characteristics, work assigned, and roles assigned at the most level. The problem-solving stress management method at the highest level. Avoidance-oriented and Emotion-oriented methods at the most level. Reults of relation between of working factors including job characteristics, work assigned, and roles assigned with stress management of Rangsit City Municipality employee were job characteristics and roles assigned was relate with avoidance-oriented method and roles assigned was relate with emotion-oriented stress management at the statistical significance level of 0.05. The Executives should arrange activities for Rangsit City Municipality employee to promote happiness both physically and mentally to reduce work stress and able to work efficiently and effectively
