ฮอมภูมิ - สถาปัตยปาฐะ' 47 : จากเวทีวิชาการสู่เวทีชาวบ้าน?

Abstract

        คณะสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ของมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ และมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ได้จัดการประชุมทางวิชาการขึ้น เมื่อวันที่ 26-28 มกราคม 2548 ณ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์จะสรุปเนื้อหาสาระที่สําคัญของผลงานวิชาการ ที่นําเสนอในการประชุมมาเผยแพร่ให้กว้างขวางยิ่งขึ้น และวิเคราะห์ความก้าวหน้าของการประชุม และประโยชน์ของผลงานว่าจากเวทีวิชาการลงไปสู่เวทีชาวบ้านได้จริงหรือไม่ จากบทความทั้ง 23 เรื่อง สามารถสรุปเนื้อหาได้ 5 กลุ่ม ตามสาระหลัก ของแต่ละบทความ การประชุมวิชาการครั้งนี้นับว่ามีพัฒนาการที่ก้าวหน้าขึ้นไปอีกระดับหนึ่ง มีความเข้มแข็งทางวิชาการ มากขึ้น ขอบเขตของเนื้อหาและพื้นที่ก็ขยายออกเป็นวงกว้าง ครอบคลุมสาระที่หลากหลาย และพื้นที่กว้างใหญ่ ความพยายามที่จะนําวงวิชาการไปเชื่อมต่อกับวงชาวบ้านก็เห็นเป็นรูปธรรม เช่น การเชิญชาวบ้านมามีส่วนร่วมในการประชุม และการทัศนศึกษาชุมชน ในด้านเนื้อหาก็มีบทความที่นําเสนอเรื่องราวหลากหลายจาก คติความเชื่อภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นไปสู่ เรื่องราวที่ร่วมสมัยและเป็นที่สนใจของสากล มีทั้งการนําเสนอแนวคิดและทฤษฎีใหม่ๆ ไปจนถึงแนวความคิดอย่างกว้าง ๆ และองค์ความรู้ที่ได้จากการวิจัยอย่างลึกซึ้ง สามารถนําไปสู่การปฏิบัติของ “ชาวบ้าน"จุดอ่อนของการประชุมเป็นการนําเสนอ ของบทความบางเรื่องซึ่งมีทั้งการนําเสนอทางด้านเอกสารที่ยาวหรือสั้นไป และการนํา สนอในห้องประชุมที่ใช้เวลา ไม่เหมาะสม

“Hompoom-Sathapattayapatha’04” Architectural Conference: From Academic Forum to People's Forum?

        The architectural conference “Hompoom – Sathapattayapatha '04” held in Chiang Mai from 26" to 28" January 2005 was jointly organized by Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Architecture and her Silpakorn University counterpart. This article is a summary review of the 23 papers presented at the conference, and remarks on developments that have taken place. It also comments on the relevance of academic outputs and their applications in relation to the community as a whole. Overall, the conference can be considered to have achieved a certain degree of progress in terms of academic strength. The fields and areas of study have expanded to embrace a widerscope, and the effort to bridge the gap between the academic circle and the lay circle was carried out by inviting local people to participate in the event as well as organizing a community study tour. The wide variety of topics presented can be divided into 5 different groups according to their contents and ranged from beliefs and local wisdom, to modern issues, international trends and contemporary interests. Emerging new thoughts, theories and broad general concepts were also introduced, and people in the community may make practical use of knowledge obtained from several in-depth research papers. The weak point of the conference was the presentation of some papers, both written and oral, which were either too short or too lengthy and not prepared to suit the allotted time.
