พลวัตของเรือนพื้นถิ่น บ้านทุ่งต้อม สันป่าตอง เชียงใหม่

Abstract

         บทความวิจัยนี้เริ่มต้นจากความสนใจในความเปลี่ยนแปลงของเรือนพื้นถิ่นที่อยู่อาศัยในชุมชนกรณีศึกษาที่ผู้วิจัยได้มีโอกาสพักอาศัยในช่วงระยะเวลาหนึ่งของทุกปีตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ จึงรู้สึกถึงความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางกายภาพ และการใช้สอยของเรือน นำมาสู่การกำหนดประเด็นในการวิจัย และเกณฑ์การเลือกกรณีศึกษาของเรือนที่มีความแตกต่างกัน 3 บริบท คือ เรือนที่อยู่ติดกับถนนสายหลักของหมู่บ้าน เรือนที่ติดกับถนนสายรองของหมู่บ้าน และเรือนที่ติดกับลำเหมืองสาธารณะ

         จากการศึกษาพบว่า เรือนที่ติดถนนสายหลักมีแนวโน้มจะปลูกสร้างอาคารร้านค้า ในขณะที่เรือนที่ตั้งสัมพันธ์กับลำเหมืองสาธารณะ กลับพบว่ามีการใช้ประโยชน์ของลำเหมืองน้อยลง ส่วนความเปลี่ยนแปลงของเรือนพบว่า ทั้ง 3 บริบท เกิดจากความต้องการที่เพิ่มขึ้นของเจ้าของเรือนและรูปแบบของเรือนที่ไม่สอดคล้องกับการใช้ชีวิตในปัจจุบัน การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เห็นได้ชัดเจน คือ การแยกเรือนครัวออกมาสร้างใหม่ ทั้งที่แยกออกมาและเชื่อมต่อกับเรือนเดิม การปรับพื้นที่โล่งใต้ถุนเรือน ซึ่งเคยเป็นพื้นที่เอนกประสงค์และมีอิสระได้ถูกกั้นให้เป็นพื้นที่เฉพาะ เช่น ห้องเก็บอุปกรณ์ทางการเกษตร ห้องรับแขก ห้องนอน เป็นต้น พื้นที่ด้านบนของเรือนพบว่า ห้องครัวบนเรือนเป็นส่วนที่ปรับเปลี่ยนมาก เพราะเมื่อแยกครัวออกไป พื้นที่ดังกล่าวถูกใช้เป็นที่เก็บของและเก็บเสื้อผ้า ส่วนความเปลี่ยนแปลงของรูปแบบอาคาร คือ การก่อสร้างโดยใช้วัสดุสมัยใหม่ เช่น บล็อกซีเมนต์ เสาคอนกรีตสำเร็จรูป หลังคากระเบื้องลอนคู่ ประตู-หน้าต่าง อลูมิเนียม เป็นต้น

         สรุปโดยรวมจะเห็นว่า ผู้อยู่อาศัยในเรือนพื้นถิ่นพยายามปรับเรือนให้เหมาะสมกับความต้องการร่วมสมัย พร้อมๆ กับต้องดูแลรักษาเรือนพื้นถิ่นที่ส่วนใหญ่ใช้ไม้เป็นวัสดุที่มีอายุจำกัด ทำให้การศึกษาเรื่องความเปลี่ยนแปลงเป็นเรื่องจำเป็น และสามารถต่อยอดการศึกษาต่อไป

         This research article began with an interest in the changes taking place in a community the author had the opportunity of staying in for a period once a year since youth. Physical and functional changes to the vernacular buildings have raised a number of issues that form the basis of this research and criteria for selecting case studies chosen out of three different contexts which are: 10 dwellings beside the main road in the community, 2) dwellings along the side roads, and 3) dwellings adjacent to public water trench.

          From the study, it was found that buildings beside the main road tend to be stores while those adjacent to the water trench are making less use of the trench. Changes to the buildings have taken place in all three contexts and resulted from the need for more space. The most obvious is the cooking area that used to be part of the dwelling unit, has become storage space or closet, and a new kitchen has been built detached from or annexed to the main house. Space beneath the upper floor that was open and multifunctional, has been walled up and partitioned for specific use such as storage of farm equipment, living room and bedroom for example. The overall appearance has also changed as a result using new building materials such as cement blocks, precast concrete members, corrugated asbestos roofing, and aluminium window and door frames.

          In conclusion, it can be seen that the occupants have adapted their dwelling to suit their needs in the present day as well as trying to preserve those that are mainly built of timber and have limited lifespan. This make the study necessary so that further studies can be carried out.
