Abstract

This study aims to study and analyze legal issues related to the control of tattooing or piercing of any part of the body in accordance with the law on public health. According to a study of public health law, there are legal issues related to the control of tattooing or piercing of body that is directly related to consumers and the public: 1) legal issues to regulate health-related businesses, 2) legal issues related to safeguard criteria and conditions of protection the body and health from the process of skin tattoo or body piercing on any part of the body. The researcher introduced the law of the Kingdom of Scotland and Puerto Rico to analyze and adopt appropriate criteria for local Thai government organizations to issue local ordinances to control health-threatening businesses. This was aimed to make legal issues regarding the control of the operation of the skin or piercing of any part of the body in Thailand. The control can be beneficial to the public who receive such services.
