The purposes of this research were to study: 1) the general operation of community networks, including community network alliances, local police volunteers, traffic volunteers, and members of the committee to inspect and monitor police administration, and 2) the influence of various public participation models—such as community operation networks, community network alliances, local police volunteers, traffic volunteers, and members of the police station inspection and monitoring committee—on police administration. This study employed a quantitative approach, using a questionnaire to collect data from 400 residents of Mueang Khon Kaen. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis. The results indicated that most people believed they had limited participation in police administration, although they were highly satisfied with local police volunteers, in contrast to the low satisfaction with community network operations. The local police volunteer model had the most direct influence on police administration at Mueang Khon Kaen Police Station, while the members of the inspection and monitoring committee had the greatest indirect and overall influence on police administration.
