มายาคติในภาพยนตร์การ์ตูนเรื่องเอคโค่ จิ๋วก้องโลก (Mythologies in Thai Animation Film: Echo Planet)

Abstract

งานวิจัยนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพที่มุ่งค้นหามายาคติและกระบวนการสื่อความหมายที่ปรากฏในภาพยนตร์การ์ตูนเรื่องเอคโค่ จิ๋วก้องโลกโดยใช้แนวคิดมายาคติของโรล็อง บาร์ตส์เป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญในการวิเคราะห์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ภาพยนตร์การ์ตูนเรื่องเอคโค่ จิ๋วก้องโลกมีการให้ความหมายมายาคติใน 2 ความหมายหลักคือ มายาคติของความ เป็นเมืองที่สื่อถึงการใช้พลังงานและทรัพยากรอย่างฟุ่มเฟือย ซ้ำยังเป็นผู้ทำลายธรรมชาติ เป็นภาพมายาคติเชิงลบ ส่วน มายาคติที่สองเป็นมายาคติของความเป็นชนบทที่สื่อถึงวิถีชีวิตที่ใกล้ชิดผูกพันกับธรรมชาติ และเป็นผู้ดูแลรักษา ธรรมชาติ เป็นภาพมายาคติเชิงบวก การให้ความหมายมายาคติทั้ง 2 ส่วนนี้อาศัยหน่วยสื่อความหมายเพียง 3 ประการ ได้แก่ การออกแบบฉากและอุปกรณ์ประกอบฉาก พฤติกรรมของตัวละคร และบทสนทนาของตัวละคร มายาคติเหล่านี้ทำหน้าที่เป็น “ตัวสารแฝงเร้น” ที่ถูกนำเสนอผ่านภาพยนตร์อย่างแนบเนียนจนผู้ชมรับเอาตัวสารเหล่านี้เข้าไปอย่างไม่รู้ตัว ภาพยนตร์จึงกลายเป็นเครื่องมือที่ทรงพลังในการประกอบสร้างสังคม

This research is a qualitative research aimed at finding mythologies and processes that made up the meanings found in Thai animation film called “Echo Planet”. The examination utilized Roland Barthes’ concept, Mythology, as the essential investigating instrument. The study shows that the Echo Planet gave two main meanings to Mythology: the mythology of a city which communicates the extravagant use of energy and resources as well as the destructor of nature. It is a negative kind of mythology. The second mythology communicates a sense of the rural way of life that is tied closely with nature and act as the protector of nature. This is a positive kind of mythology. These two definitions of mythology only rely on three communicative units: the design of the scene, the behavior of the characters, and the dialogues of the characters. These mythologies act as “hidden substances” that was concordantly conveyed through the movie. The audience easily took these substances into their mind without notice. In this ways, Movies have turned into the effective instrument for constructing society.
