Abstract

The Objective of these research for 1) to study the yarn production process of Filagen fibers and Natural fibers 2) to analyze the fibers and yarns physical properties 3) to applied the use of weaving for fashion design. By studying and analyzing the information on pineapple and Filagen yarn production process, the ratio of Pineapple and Filagen fibers 15%, Filagen Fibers 25% and Cotton fibers 60% to make yarn number 20/1 Denier by using Open-End Spinning (OE) yarn process. Then, studying physical properties by using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The quality of Pineapple fibers from mechanical extract is stick, smooth with monoclinal, cavity, porosity and denticity complex. The quality of Filagen Fibers is smooth, so to the twist. After creating Ikat pattern for Pineapple yarn and weaving it by Hom Din Klin Kram Group, from the specialist advice. The specialist founded that the yarn is strength, can repeat dying and it can be applied for weaving fabric for fashion design.
