Abstract

The purpose of this study were (1) to compare scientific problem solving ability of Mathayom Suksa VI students before manage The Problem-based Learning activities and after manage The Problem-based Learning activities; (2) to compare critical thinking ability of Mathayom Suksa VI students before manage The Problem-based Learning activities and after manage The Problem-based Learning activities; The sample of this study consisted of 30 Mathayom Suksa VI students in one intact classroom, obtain by clustered random sampling. The employed research instruments comprised (1) scientific problem solving ability test and (2) critical thinking ability test. Statistics for data analysis were the mean, standard deviation and t-test. The finding of this studies were (1) Mathayom Suksa VI students has scientific problem solving ability after manage The Problem-based Learning activities that higher than scientific problem solving ability before manage The Problem-based Learning activities at the .01 level of significance and (2) Mathayom Suksa VI students has critical thinking ability after manage The Problem-based Learning activities that higher than critical thinking ability before manage The Problem-based Learning activities at the .01 level of significance.
