Abstract

The objectives of this study were to study 1) Personal factors,  Family functioning, Self-discipline, Self esteem, and Global citizenship characteristics. 2) Infiuence of personal factors,  Family functioning, Self-discipline, Self esteem, and Global citizenship characteristics. Data were collected from 602 students studying at Kasetsart University by using questionnaires. The reliability were 1) family functioning at .950  2) self-discipline at .938 3) self esteem at .948 4) global citizenship characteristics at .958. The statistical methods were analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The results show that; 1)family functioning, self-discipline, and self esteem, and global citizenship characteristics were at the high level. 2)the results from stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that; independent variables, including self-discipline in confidence dimension, self-discipline in perseverance dimension, self-discipline in tolerance dimension, self-esteem in power dimension, self-esteem in virtue dimension, family functioning in emotional response of family dimension, and self-discipline in regulation dimension, had influenced on global citizenship characteristics with the statistical significance level at .001, and those of factors could predict global citizenship characteristics at 51.7 percents (R2 = .517).
