The Development of ST 21201 Intelligence in The Digital Age Supplementary Courses to Develop Digital Media Literacy and Critical Thinking Skills Using Case-based Learning with Social Media for Grade 7th Students

Abstract

This study aimed to 1) Study the fundamentals and requirements of the development of ST 21201 intelligence in The Digital Age supplementary course. 2) Develop of ST 21201 intelligence in The Digital Age supplementary course 3) Study the results using ST 21201 Intelligence in The Digital Age supplementary course with 3.1) Study the digital media literacy skills of the students after learning through the Intelligence in The Digital Age supplementary course. 3.2) Study the critical thinking skills of the students after learning through the Intelligence in The Digital Age supplementary course. And 4.) Evaluate and improve of ST 21201 Intelligence in The Digital Age Supplementary Courses. A sample group of 19 participants was selected from grade 7 students at an educational opportunity extension school in Sakon Nakhon Province, during the first semester of the academic year 2022. The study was a research and development. The instruments of the study were a questionnaire about the demands for the development of the curriculum, ST 21201 Intelligence in The Digital Age Supplementary course, lesson plans, Digital Media Literacy Test, Critical Thinking Test, and evaluation of the adoption of the curriculum the data was analyzed using mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D.) and percentage (%). The results of the study were as follows 1) The result of the development of the curriculum that the curriculum is highly corresponding ( = 4.65, S.D. = 0.26) 2) The students had a score on Digital Media Literacy with an average score of representing 75.16 of the total score, and there were students who passed the criteria, accounting for 89.47 percent of the total students. 3) The students had a score on Critical Thinking skills with an average score of 70.53 and there were students who passed the criteria, accounting for 73.68 percent of the total students.
