This article focuses on the concepts, forms, and artistic language in Ye Jianxin's ink paintings and ceramic art. By examining Professor Ye's educational background and life experiences, the study aims to elucidate his artistic style. Through analyzing his ink paintings and ceramic works, the research seeks to identify his artistic characteristics and value. Ye's creations are nature-themed, showcasing visual elements such as "lines, ink tones, negative space, and brushstrokes" on the canvas. His unique compositional approach places objects from linear perspective into a scattered perspective, enhancing the perceptibility of landscapes within the artwork. Employing artistic techniques that balance void and solid spaces and contrast black and white, he achieves harmony and equilibrium in his compositions. Ye Jianxin applies traditional Chinese painting brush and ink techniques to ceramics, utilizing methods like center-tip brushwork and light ink to highlight the distinctive features of porcelain art. His ink paintings are noted for their "vivid charm," while his ceramic pieces exude elegance and clarity. He adeptly translates the "dry, wet, dense, and light" qualities of ink onto ceramics, seamlessly integrating diverse ink techniques across various media to convey a renewed artistic spirit. Moreover, his works are imbued with profound cultural significance and humanistic spirit, expressing a deep reverence and affection for nature, life, and the cosmos. Through literature review and field studies, this research ultimately establishes a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of Ye Jianxin's artistic concepts, forms, and language across different stages of his career.
