Approach for Agile Leadership Development of School Administrators

This research is mixed methods study which aimed to 1) study the current condition, the desirable conditions and the essential needs of Agile Leadership of Administrators and 2) to purpose Approach for Agile Leadership Development of School Administrators. The research was conducted in two phases. 1) The sample was composed of 322 school administrators and teachers using stratified random sampling and simple random sampling. The research tool was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The content validity values ranged from 0.66 to 1.00, and the overall reliability coefficient was 0.989. Data analysis included frequency distribution, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and needs assessment using the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNIModified) technique. 2) The interview participants were six experts. Data were analyzed using content analysis. This phase included three experts who validated and confirmed the proposed guidelines, and three additional experts who evaluated the appropriateness, feasibility, and usefulness of the approaches using a five-point rating scale. The results of study revealed that 1) the overall current conditions were high. It was found that Inspiration had the highest average, and the lowest average was found in Networking. The overall of desirable conditions were at the highest level. It was found that Inspiration had the highest average, and Trust had the lowest average. And the analysis of the essential needs index of Agile Leadership of Administrators found that PNIModified ranked from highest to lowest were Networking, Trust, Adaptability, Having a Clear Vision and Inspiration. 2) Approach for Agile Leadership Development of School Administrators under the Secondary Education Service Area Office Loei Nongbualamphu consisted of name, concept, objective, approach and method. The result of approach evaluation found that the approach was suitability level is at the highest level, the feasibility level is at the high level, and the usefulness level is at the highest level.
