Politicians and Elections on the path of Democracy in Short Stories from the Phan Waenfa Award 2002-2006

Abstract

The Phan Waenfa Award for political literature is a literary award originating from the cooperation between the Writers' Association of Thailand and the Thai National Assembly. Some short stories written from 2002-2006 stated “Practical Democracy” presenting some shared identities of short stories including the rights related to elections, the civic duty to be aware of public benefits, criticizing the representative democracy in different aspects, and persuading or convincing that the system would be able to screen the best ruler, rather than arousing people to resist or overthrow the representative democracy.
