King Bhumibol Adulyadej : The Talent in Telecommunication Technology

Abstract

King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been interested in various kinds of telecommunication technology since he was young and this has continuously been the case for more than 6 decades. He strongly believes that communication is a very important factor for the development of the country and for bringing about economic, social and political progress to the country. The King himself has researched and invented various types of communication technology including antenna development, radio frequency management, and the communication system management. These achievements have reflected the King's talent in the field of telecommunication technology and triggered various waves of significant development of the nation's telecommunication technology to international standard. Moreover, the King has effectively applied his talent in this respect to facilitate his works in reducing hardship and bringing about peace and prosperity for the Thai people according to his royal idea “to understand, to access, to develop” for the benefits and happiness of Siamese people.
