Abstract

E-book service began its service in Thailand in 2002. It is claimed by the e-book service providers that, compared with traditional circulation service, the e-book service offers certain advantages. This article explores the Arts Faculty member's attitude towards the use of e-book service. The data were collected from seven faculty members who were interviewed by the researcher. In addition, the researcher's hands-on experience in using e-book was recorded to supplement the questionnaires data. The results revealed that the faculty members were not quite satisfied with the e-book service in several aspects including the data display consequently causing eye-fatigue, low download speed, and limited number of readers allowed for each book at a time. The findings of this study can be used to improve the e-book service in the future.
