Since I was asked to write this piece while on exchange at Silpakorn University, I have had to rely on the individual pieces of Aboriginal writing I happened to have with me. In particular I have had to rely on three anthologies :
The Penguin Book of Australian Women Poets, ed., Kate Llewellyn and Susan Hampton, Penguin, 1986. Inside Black Australia, ed., Kevin Gilbert, Penguin, 1988.
Paperbark, ed., Jack Davis and others, University of Queensland Press, 1990.
All of the texts I have cited acn be found in these books. The last two are particularly valuable as an introduction to Aboriginal writing in Australia to-day.
