การวิเคราะห์นามสกุลของชาวไทยเชื้อสายกะเหรี่ยงแถบ ชายแดนไทย-เมียนมาด้านจังหวัดตาก

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์นามสกุลของชาวไทยเชื้อสายกะเหรี่ยงแถบชายแดนไทย-เมียนมาด้านจังหวัดตาก ในด้านความหมาย ค่านิยมและลักษณะทางวัฒนธรรม โดยเก็บข้อมูลจากนามสกุลของนิสิตคณะศึกษาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร ใน “โครงการจัดการศึกษาเพื่อพัฒนาครูในถิ่นทุรกันดารบนเขตพื้นที่สูงชายแดนไทย-เมียนมาด้านจังหวัดตาก ให้ได้รับวุฒิปริญญาตรีทางการศึกษาตามพระราชดำริสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี” (ปีการศึกษา 2556 - 2561) จำนวน 107 นามสกุล ผลการวิเคราะห์พบว่าความหมายของคำที่นำมาตั้งเป็นนามสกุลมีทั้งหมด 17 หมวดหมู่ โดยหมวดหมู่ที่พบมากที่สุด 3 ลำดับแรก ได้แก่ (1) ธรรมชาติ (2) ความเจริญรุ่งเรือง ความมั่นคง ความสมบูรณ์ และ (3) เชื้อสาย วงศ์ตระกูล ตามลำดับ ส่วนหมวดหมู่ที่พบน้อยที่สุด ได้แก่ ไสยศาสตร์ ทางด้านค่านิยมและลักษณะทางวัฒนธรรมนั้น นามสกุลแสดงให้เห็นว่าชาวไทยเชื้อสายกะเหรี่ยงมีความผูกพันใกล้ชิดกับธรรมชาติและเห็นคุณค่าของป่าไม้ ภูเขา แม่น้ำลำธาร รวมแสดงถึงการมีเชื้อสายหรือวงศ์ตระกูลเดียวกัน นอกจากนี้ยังแสดงให้เห็นความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางด้านวัฒนธรรม จากเดิมที่มีวิถีชีวิตความเป็นอยู่เรียบง่ายตามสภาพแวดล้อม กลายเป็นวิถีชีวิตที่ปรารถนาความเจริญรุ่งเรืองและทรัพย์สิน เนื่องจากการติดต่อกับสังคมเมืองทำให้ได้รับค่านิยมเกี่ยวกับความเจริญรุ่งเรืองและทรัพย์สินเงินทองว่าเป็นสิ่งจำเป็นต่อการพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตในสังคมยุคปัจจุบัน
