21st Century Skills : Learning Skills to become the Professional Teacher

Abstract

In the midst of educational change and development, learning skill development become a part of daily life for teachers in 21^st century, and hence those teachers have to adapt themselves to keep up with the ever-changing world. With that, the teachers are required to continuously build skills, especially professionalism of teaching, in order to advise and promote students to learn by themselves all the time. In addition, future Thai teachers have to be knowledgeable in topics they instruct, have techniques to enable students to formulate knowledge from experience, set up activities which link knowledge from external sources, practice student to work as a team, to be a learning activity designer, to provide environment which enhance learning, and exhibit love and care of students. Such teaching process will become successful if every party help get rid of issues and obstacles impacting teacher deployment. Approaches to develop teachers in 21^st century require both policies and self-development together so as for teachers to become truly professional.
