The Application of Tourism Promotion Policy in Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Officials

Abstract

The purposes of this study were as follows: (1) to study the level of policy implementation of the personnel of the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization; (2) to study the level of tourism promotion of the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization; (3) to compare the implementation of policies for tourism promotion among personnel of the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization classified by personal factors; and (4) to find the relationship between the policy implementation of personnel and tourism promotion of the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization. The population used in this research consisted of 268 personnel of the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization. The instruments used in the study were a questionnaire about 5 levels. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The hypothesis was tested using t-test statistics, one-way variance analysis, and Pearson's correlation coefficient.

The research results were as follows: (1) Implementing policies for personnel of the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization overall is at a high level. Policy objectives and standards, inter-organizational communication, operational intentions, policy resources, and the nature of departments that implement policies at a high level. The economic, social, and political conditions were at moderate levels, respectively; (2) Tourism Promotion of the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization Overall, at a high level, when considering each aspect, we found that it was at a high level in all aspects, including tourism sources or activities, service tourism, and tourism marketing, respectively; (3) Personnel with different personal factors overall policy implementation did not differ significantly; and (4) The relationship between personnel policy implementation and tourism promotion of the Mae Hong Son Provincial Administrative Organization overall had a statistically positive relationship with a statistically low correlation (r=0.381) at the 0.01 level.
