Abstract

Porcelain panel making, a traditional craft in Laoyatan, Jingdezhen, china and national intangible cultural heritage of China, makes an art of porcelain panel integrated with porcelain panel painting and has become a living decoration and architectural decoration with local characteristics favored by the public. This research applies literature research and field research approaches to analyze the current state of the environment, crafters, and auxiliary industries in the Laoyatan community. Further, research was carried out on the cultural characteristics of porcelain panel art, art and inheritance models, and the ecological chain of porcelain panel art generated by the cultural landscape of porcelain making. The research found distinct characteristics of the traditional handicraft community. It carries deep cultural connotations and traditional techniques, interprets the Chinese craftsman spirit, the Laoyatan porcelain panel art ecosystem system, shows the strength and charm of Laoyatan community porcelain panel art, and provides an academic path and theoretical foundation for future research on the development and cultural management of Laoyatan community porcelain panel art.
