การศึกษาปัญหาการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษ และกลวิธีการเรียนการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษ ของนักศึกษาสหวิทยาการ ชั้นปีที่ 3 มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออศึกษาปัญหาในการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษและกลวิธีการเรียนการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาสหวิทยาการชั้นปีที่ 3 เพื่อวิเคราะห์สาเหตุของข้อผิดพลาดในการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษและศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษและการใช้กลวิธีการเรียนการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ แบบทดสอบการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษ แบบสอบถามกลวิธีการเรียนการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษ และแบบประเมินการออกเสียงพยัญชนะและสระภาษาอังกฤษวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลการออกเสียงโดยใช้ผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ 3 ท่าน ใช้โปรแกรม SPSS โดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน (S.D.) และหาสัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์เพียร์สัน ( Pearson Correlation Coefficient) ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่านักศึกษาสหวิทยาการ ชั้นปีที่ 3 มีปัญหาในการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษในตำแหน่งพยัญชนะท้ายมากกว่าตำแหน่งพยัญชนะต้น โดยมีปัญหาในการออกเสียงกักเสียดแทรกมากที่สุด มีปัญหาการออกเสียงสระเดี่ยวมากกว่าสระประสม นักศึกษาใช้กลวิธีการเรียนการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง และการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาไม่สัมพันธ์กับการใช้กลวิธีการเรียนการออกเสียงภาษาอังกฤษ (r = 0.1)

Abstract

This paper aims to study English Pronunciation Problems and English Pronunciation LearningStrategies of third-year students in the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, to analyze the cause ofEnglish Pronunciation Problems and to study the relationships between English Pronunciation andEnglish Pronunciation Learning Strategies. The research instruments used in this study were anEnglish Pronunciation Test, a questionnaire of English Pronunciation Learning Strategies and anEvaluation form of English Pronunciation. The data were analyzed by three experts in Phonetics andthe SPSS program using arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Pearson Correlation Coefficient. Thestudy results found that Third-year Interdisciplinary Studies students have more problems in EnglishPronunciation in final consonants than initial consonants, especially affricates, in monopthongs thandipthongs. In addition, their English Pronunciation Learning Strategies is at medium level. EnglishPronunciation has no relationship with English Pronunciation Learning Strategies use. (r = 0.1)
