บทคัดย่อ
ลีลาเป็นองค์ประกอบทางวรรณศิลป์ที่สำคัญอย่างหนึ่งในงานวรรณกรรม ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นถึงเอกลักษณ์และตัวตนของผู้เขียน ดังนั้นการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับลีลาจึงเป็นหัวข้อที่มีความน่าสนใจและสำคัญในการวิเคราะห์ทางภาษาศาสตร์ งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาเพื่อจำแนกลีลาการเขียนในระดับประโยคที่เกี่ยวข้องกับแนวคิดยุคหลังอาณานิคมในนวนิยายเรื่อง The God of Small Things ของ Arundhati Roy และกลวิธีการแปลของผู้แปลในนวนิยายฉบับแปลเรื่อง เทพเจ้าแห่งสิ่งเล็ก ๆ โดย สดใส รวมทั้งวิเคราะห์ว่ากลวิธีใดบ้างที่ช่วยให้สามารถรักษาความหมายและลีลาการเขียนในระดับประโยคที่เป็นเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะของผู้เขียน จากการศึกษา สามารถแบ่งตัวอย่างลีลาการเขียนระดับประโยคที่เกี่ยวข้องกับแนวคิดยุคหลังอาณานิคมของผู้เขียนออกเป็น 7 รูปแบบด้วยกัน คือ ประโยคกรรมวาจก ประโยคกรรตุวาจก การสลับภาษาอังกฤษกับภาษามาเลอาลัม การใช้ isn’t it กับในทุกบริบท ประโยคปฏิเสธ การใช้อุปมาและอุปลักษณ์ในประโยค และประโยคหัวเรื่อง ทั้งนี้ ผู้แปลเลือกใช้กลวิธีในการแปลที่หลากหลายคือ การแปลตรง การปรับประโยค การเปลี่ยนหน่วย การแปลยืม การแปลแบบ Colloquialization การแปลแบบ Neutralization การเปลี่ยนระดับ การเพิ่มคำแปล การละคำแปล การใช้คำสรรพนาม และการละคำสรรพนาม เพื่อให้สามารถถ่ายทอดทั้งเนื้อหาและรักษาลีลาเฉพาะไว้ให้ได้มากที่สุด
