Public Participation in Water Sources in Wapipathum Municipality Area, Wapipathum district, Maha Sarakham Province

Abstract

This study aimed to study the public participation level and searching the suggestion of people about the encourage participation in water source management in Wapipathum municipality area. The study is survey research that used questionnaire to collect the data in 354 peoples that 18 – 60 years old people which lives in Wapipathum municipality. The analysis statistics is frequency percentage mean and standard deviation. The results of this study shown; people in Wapipathum municipality has medium level to water sources management participation and the suggestion about participation encourage were the municipality should to promote their people to participate in decision making and evaluation because only community  representatives do that activities in present. In addition, the municipality should be promoting the participation to students in school in the area.
