มาตรฐานเมทาดาทา สำหรับพิพิธภัณฑ์: ก้าวใหม่ของพิพิธภัณฑ์ไทยในยุคดิจิทัล

ในช่วง 3 ทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา พัฒนาการด้านเทคโนโลยีดิจิทัลได้นำความเปลี่ยนแปลงในหลายๆ ด้านมาสู่แวดวงการจัดการพิพิธภัณฑ์ ปัจจุบันห้องสมุด หอจดหมายเหตุ และพิพิธภัณฑ์ ตลอดจนสถาบันด้านมรดกวัฒนธรรมหลายแห่งได้มีการวิจัยและจัดทำโครงการเพื่อสร้างและจัดการทรัพยากรมรดกวัฒนธรรมในรูปแบบดิจิทัลเพิ่มมากขึ้น ซึ่งการจัดการข้อมูลดังกล่าวนี้ ต้องอาศัยเครื่องมือที่เรียกว่า “เมทาดาทา” บทความนี้เป็นการนำเสนอข้อมูลจากโครงการศึกษามาตรฐานเมทาดาทาซึ่งเป็นมาตรฐานสากลที่พิพิธภัณฑ์ทั่วโลกใช้เป็นแนวปฏิบัติ และนำเสนอแนวทางพัฒนามาตรฐานเมทาดาทาสำหรับพิพิธภัณฑ์ไทย อันเป็นส่วนหนึ่งจากผลการดำเนินโครงการจัดทำโครงสร้างและรูปแบบฐานข้อมูลดิจิทัลสำหรับพิพิธภัณฑ์ธรรมศาสตร์เฉลิมพระเกียรติ พร้อมเสนอประเด็นพิจารณาว่ามีสิ่งใดที่พิพิธภัณฑ์ในประเทศไทยควรเตรียมการพัฒนา เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการสร้างมาตรฐานสำหรับพิพิธภัณฑ์ไทยต่อไปในอนาคต
