การสันนิษฐานรูปแบบสถาปัตยกรรม มณฑปพระสี่อิริยาบถ วัดพระสี่อิริยาบถ จังหวัดกำแพงเพชร/ The Architectural Restoration of Mandapa of the Four Postures Buddha

บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้นำเสนอการสันนิษฐานรูปแบบทางสถาปัตยกรรมของมณฑปพระสี่อิริยาบถ วัดพระสี่อิริยาบถ จังหวัดกำแพงเพชร  โดยมณฑปพระสี่อิริยาบถมีความโดดเด่นเป็นพิเศษ เนื่องจากมีพระพุทธรูปขนาดใหญ่หันหลังชนกันจำนวน 4 องค์ โดยแต่ละองค์แสดงอิริยาบถต่างกัน คือ ยืน เดิน นั่ง และนอน เรียกรวมกันว่า พระพุทธรูปสี่อิริยาบถ ซึ่งเป็นที่สนใจในทางวิชาการถึงที่มาของแนวคิดในการสร้างพระพุทธรูปนี้ แต่ในแง่ของสถาปัตยกรรมแล้วยังไม่มีการศึกษามากนัก เนื่องจากข้อมูลทางเอกสารนั้นมีอยู่น้อยและสภาพของมณฑปพระสี่อิริยาบถเองก็อยู่ในสภาพไม่สมบูรณ์  ดังนั้นในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ จึงใช้วิธีการสันนิษฐานรูปแบบทางสถาปัตยกรรมจากข้อมูลทางกายภาพและเอกสารเท่าที่มีอยู่ เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเป็นไปได้ของรูปแบบทางสถาปัตยกรรมดั้งเดิมของมณฑปพระสี่อิริยาบถ อันจะทำให้เข้าใจถึงคุณค่าของตัวมณฑปพระสี่อิริยาบถมากยิ่งขึ้นด้วย

ผลจากสันนิษฐานรูปแบบทางสถาปัตยกรรมได้นำแสนอความเป็นไปได้ของมณฑปพระสี่อิริยาบถรวมทั้งหมด 6 แบบ ซึ่งสามารถแบ่งออกเป็น  2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มที่มีหลังคาเป็นจั่วแบบจัตุรมุข และกลุ่มที่มีหลังคาเป็นทรงมณฑป ซึ่งแต่ละแบบก็มีข้อเด่นข้อด้อยต่างกันไป แต่ข้อสรุปร่วมกันที่สำคัญก็คือ การสร้างสรรค์ลักษณะสถาปัตยกรรมของมณฑปพระสี่อิริยาบถนั้นมีความสัมพันธ์กันกับตัวพระพุทธรูปสี่อิริยาบถอย่างสอดคล้องส่งเสริมกัน

Abstract

This paper presents the architectural restoration of the Mandapa of the four postures Buddha in Temple of the four postures Buddha Kamphaeng Phet. The Mandapa is distinctive because of the four large Buddha statues. Each one represents a different posture, standing, walking, sitting and lying collectively the Four postures of Buddha Which is interested in the origins of the concept of the Buddha. But in terms of architecture, it has not been studied since the documents were few and the condition of Mandapa was in a state of incompleteness. Therefore, in this study use Architectural Restoration Method, from physical informations and documents as available, for demonstrate the feasibility of the original architectural style of the Mandapa and will understand the values of the mandapa even more.

The result can be assumed six models of architectural style of the mandapa that were divided into two groups: The roof with four porches and The Mandapa-style roof. Each of which has different advantages but the important conclusion is the creation of Architecture of the Mandapa are correlated well with the four postures Buddha.
