Leadership, Corporate Culture, Organizational Commitment and Worker Characteristics affecting the Organizational Efficiency in Gemopolis Industrial Estate

This study aimed to analyze and compare causal factors influencing organizational efficiency in Gemopolis Industrial Estate. Questionnaires were administered to collect data from 450 people employed in the industrial estate. The statistic techniques employed in analyzing the data include: frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, analysis of correlations between latent variables, and Pearson’s Product-Moment coefficient. Model consistency was analyzed with chi-square and path analysis to compare the influences of both direct and indirect causal factors of latent variables on organizational efficiency.
The findings are as follows. Leadership has a direct positive influence on employee performance, on employee characteristics, and on organizational commitment. Leadership also has a positive indirect influence on employee performance with the consideration of organizational commitment, employee characteristics, and organizational culture. Characteristics of workers have a direct positive impact on employee performance. While organizational culture has a direct positive influence on employee characteristics, it has a direct negative influence on employee performance. However, organizational culture has a positive indirect influence on the employee performance with the consideration of employee characteristics. Organizational commitment has a direct positive influence on employee performance.
