Three accents of Toponym: Using Thai, English and Chinese on Public signs: A Case Study of Lampang Municipality

This research article focuses on the Politics of linguistic on public signs for tourism. The purpose is to analyze the using of toponym in three languages (Thai, English, and Chinese) on public signs in the area of Lampang municipality. This research approaches with linguistic landscape framework which will show the power relation of the determination of translation. The results illustrate that the determination of translation depends on many groups of power who get the knowledge power that makes the problem of using in the operation. At the same time, this process also reduces the local power for governing themselves
