In the current landscape, organizational management increasingly relies on digital technology for transformation, particularly in Human Resource Management (HRM). This adoption includes advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and automation. This article aims to present guidelines for human resource management in the digital era. It begins with an exploration of key HRM principles in this age, highlighting changes in the labor population and the growing significance of a knowledge-based economy, underscoring the need for integrating digital technologies into HR practices. It examines the technological influence and changes affecting operations and HRM, including the use of online learning platforms, data-driven performance appraisals, and digital communication tools. The article also discusses problems and challenges associated with HRM in the digital era, emphasizing the importance of maintaining human relationships in HRM practices and balancing the benefits of technology with employee needs. It proposes guidelines for human resource development, focusing on the evolving role of HR professionals in using technology for strategic HR decisions, and identifying the skills and competencies necessary for professionals to effectively manage and drive organizational success. This academic guide elucidates the transformative impact of digitalization on HRM and the imperative for organizations to embrace technology, understanding the opportunities and challenges it presents in the digital era. Utilizing digital tools can optimize talent management, enhance organizational efficiency, and promote a positive employee experience.
