Abstract

The objectives of this descriptive research were to study: 1) Study problems and needs. 2) To create the development model 3) To evaluate the results of the model developing learners of reading comprehension by folk tales. Use research mixed methods. The research is divided into 3 phases. Sample phase 1: Prathomsuksa 5 students In schools of Ubonratchathani Primary Education Service Area office 3, 88 students and 13 teachers, By selecting a group. multi-step. Sample phase 1: assessment model by 5 experts. Target group phase 3: Prathomsuksa 5 students of Ban Anghin (Peinpittayakarn) School. Research tools, questionnaire, Models Activity Kit, Satisfaction assessment form, Achievement test. Statistics used in research, Mean, percentage, standard deviation, and T-test statistic.. Presentation of the results of the table and Descriptive analysis of data. The research result found:  1) Problems in reading comprehension by Students' and Teachers' Views, found that moderate levels of overall. But considering the sort of trouble at 1, 2 and 3.are. Selection of reading material, Knowledge of the ability in the reading comprehension used to read Thai. And the problem of setting reading objectives and want teaching Language Thailand. View of teachers and students overall the demand is at a high level. When considering each aspect. It found that the demand was at 1, 2 and 3 are want teaching content by folk tales, Commentary of the story and the value of reading, and the importance of the subject. 2) The result of creating Models Activity Kit by folk tales, Synthesized from relevant research papers, have Models Activity Kit 8 elements. Using Thai folk tales 4 regions, have documentation guide, Learning Activity Kit, Satisfaction assessment form, And evaluation results Models Activity Kit the quality and suitability are at a high level. 3) Usage results Models Activity Kit reading comprehension by folk tales found that Comparison of learning achievement of reading comprehension before learning with the class it is statistically significant at the 0.05 level. And student satisfaction of Models Activity Kit reading comprehension, Overall, it was at a high level.
