Abstract

This research is a survey research. The purposes of this research are to study the measurement and evaluation for wind instrument performance of the teacher in higher education institutes. The population used in the research is 58 woodwind instructors and 58 brass instructors from 58 institutes. Questionnaire is used  a research tool. Percent, Mean and standard deviation are employed to analyze the research result. The research finding revealed as follows: 1) A teacher who taught wind instrument performance has condition of measurement for wind instrument performance in higher education institutes at a frequent level (M= 4.27, S.D. = 0.78) 2) A teacher who taught wind instrument performance has condition of evaluation for wind instrument performance in higher education institutes at a frequent level (M= 3.99, S.D. = 0.96) and 3) A teacher who taught wind instrument performance has Criteria used to measure and evaluate for wind instrument performance in higher education institutes  at the highest level (M= 4.51, S.D. = 0.65)
