Abstract

This research on the needs of primary school teachers to create new skills and to enhance the skills necessary for professional development of teachers in the VUCA World era aims to study the needs of primary school teachers to create new skills and supplement them. Skills Required for Professional Development of Teachers in the VUCA World Era The population used in this research were elementary school teachers in schools located in the central region of Thailand with four affiliations: (1) the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) (2) under the Office of the Private Education Promotion Commission (NHSO), (3) under the local administrative organization (DOT) and (4) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (TSU. ). The population was 81,269 primary school teachers in schools located in the central region of Thailand. The researchers received 324 complete survey responses out of 383 samplings that were 84.60 percent. The results found that the need for primary school teachers to build new skills and enhance the skills needed to develop the teacher profession in the VUCA World Era. The level of need for development in all skills is high, with first place being digital technology skills and Skills for producing and using learning materials/learning resources The second was the learning management design skill with an average of 4.20, the third was the teacher's design thinking skills and innovation development 4.16, the fourth was teacher professional development skills with an average 4.13. 5th place is the skill of organizing learning activities and classroom practice research skills with the same average of 4.11, the 6th place was language and communication skills with an average of 4.06, and the 7th place, the development and implementation skills of the curriculum, with an average of 3.83.
