Abstract

This research aimed to study the decision-making components of secondary school administrators in the era of change and to confirm the decision-making components of secondary school administrators in the era of change. The sample group used in this research was 519 secondary schools, obtained by stratified random sampling, using region as the stratum for division. One informant per school was assigned, which was the school director. The instrument used for data collection was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were content analysis, frequency distribution, percentage, and standard deviation. The results of the research on appropriateness found that in terms of strategic planning for secondary school administration, policies set to support changing situations, and the ability to analyze unpredictable events had the lowest mean values. In terms of feasibility, it was found that in terms of administrative innovation arising from the new normal, the ability to analyze unpredictable events, and the encouragement of teachers and personnel to have operational potential had the lowest mean values. This indicates that the ability to analyze situations of secondary school administrators in the era of change is an important factor in making decisions for effective school administration.
