การสลับภาษาของครูฟิลิปปินส์ที่สอนนักเรียนไทยในโรงเรียนสองภาษา

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประเภทและจำนวนของการสลับภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาไทยเพื่อวิเคราะห์หน้าที่และจำนวนของหน้าที่การสลับภาษาของครูฟิลิปปินส์ที่สอนนักเรียนชาวไทยระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 และ 5 ของแผนการเรียน Mini-Program และ Bilingual Program รายวิชา ESL ที่ใช้ภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาหลักในการสอนในโรงเรียนสองภาษาแห่งหนึ่ง โดยดำเนินการเก็บข้อมูลจากการสังเกตการสอนและบันทึกเสียงในชั้นเรียนผลการวิจัยพบประเภทการสลับภาษามีประเภทการสลับภาษาทั้งหมด 3 ประเภท โดยพบประเภทของการสลับภาษามากที่สุดคือการสลับภาษาในระดับคำ วลี และพบน้อยที่สุดคือการสลับภาษาภายในประโยคและผลการวิจัยครั้งนี้ยังพบหน้าที่ในการสลับภาษาทั้งหมด 5 หน้าที่ ได้แก่ การซ้ำข้อความเพื่อเน้นย้ำ การอธิบายเพิ่มเพื่อให้เข้าใจง่ายขึ้น หน้าที่อื่น ๆ การอุทาน และการทำให้ข้อความเป็นเรื่องส่วนตัว ซึ่งการซ้ำข้อความเพื่อเน้นย้ำ เป็นหน้าที่การสลับภาษาที่พบมากที่สุด และหน้าที่การสลับภาษาที่พบน้อยที่สุด คือ การทำให้เป็นเรื่องส่วนตัว
