Abstract

This academic article aimed to study the implementation of strategies in organizations for coping with the changes in the modern world. The study was found that: 1. Strategy implementation, traditionally, was a crucial part of the strategic mission of human resource managers. Senior management defined organizational-level strategy, and subsequently established policies and functional strategies covering various departments. 2. Strategy implementation was important because it involveed learning policies and studying the foundational information that created the organization’s mission, ensuring effective management of the assigned structure and achieving long-term objectives appropriately. Strategy, encompassing planning, methods, models, positions, and perspectives, was essential for effective organizational management and the creation of clear strategic plans. 3. Strategy formulation included planning strategies, operational strategies, model strategies, positional strategies, and perspective strategies. These was expressed through defining the organizational mission, assessing the environment, setting organizational objectives and direction, and defining strategies to achieve those objectives. Effective resource management was crucial, encompassing personnel, technology, support from various departments, time, money, location, and mission, including training to prepare for strategic planning, build knowledge, and driving organizational strategy implementation, especially in government sectors. 4. IBM’s transformation served as a prime example of an organization’s ability to adapt and recover effectively from crises during the 1990s.
