ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคะแนน ESG กับมูลค่ากิจการของบริษัทจดทะเบียน ในตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทยและตลาดหลักทรัพย์อินโดนีเซีย

บทคัดย่อ

บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคะแนนการดำเนินงานด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม สังคม และธรรมาภิบาล (ESG) กับมูลค่ากิจการ (Tobin’s Q) และเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างของความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคะแนน ESG กับมูลค่ากิจการระหว่างบริบทของประเทศไทยและประเทศอินโดนีเซีย รูปแบบการวิจัยเป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ บริษัทจดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย (SET) และตลาดหลักทรัพย์อินโดนีเซีย (IDX) รวมจำนวน 1,129
ค่าสังเกต (ปี-บริษัท) วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา การวิเคราะห์สหสัมพันธ์ และการวิเคราะห์ความถดถอยข้อมูล Panel ด้วยแบบจำลองผลกระทบคงที่ (Fixed Effects Model)


ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) คะแนน ESG มีความสัมพันธ์เชิงบวกกับมูลค่ากิจการอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ซึ่งสะท้อนว่าการดำเนินงานด้านความยั่งยืนช่วยสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มและสร้างความเชื่อมั่นให้กับผู้มีส่วนได้เสียได้จริง 2) ระดับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคะแนน ESG กับมูลค่ากิจการในประเทศไทยและประเทศอินโดนีเซียไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ บ่งชี้ว่ากลไกตลาดทุนของทั้งสองประเทศมีการตอบสนองต่อปัจจัยด้าน ESG ในทิศทางและขนาดที่สอดคล้องกัน


ข้อค้นพบจากงานวิจัยนี้ กลไกตลาดทุนในกลุ่มประเทศเกิดใหม่ของอาเซียนมีแนวโน้มมุ่งสู่การบูรณาการมาตรฐานการประเมินมูลค่าด้านความยั่งยืนเป็นเอกภาพ ซึ่งเป็นประโยชน์ต่อผู้บริหารในการใช้ ESG เป็นกลยุทธ์หลักเพื่อเพิ่มมูลค่ากิจการ และเป็นแนวทางให้หน่วยงานกำกับดูแลร่วมมือกันกำหนดมาตรฐานการเปิดเผยข้อมูลระดับภูมิภาคเพื่อดึงดูดการลงทุนที่ยั่งยืนจากต่างประเทศ
