Morality and Ethics of Education Administrators in Secondary School Consortium under Secondary Education 2 Bangkok

Abstract

This research aimed to study the morality and ethics of education administrators in Secondary School Consortium under Secondary Education 2 Bangkok according to the opinion of teachers classified by gender, age, work experience and size of schools. This is qualitative research, the sample group was 223 teachers in Secondary School Consortium under Secondary Education 2 Bangkok. The tool for research was questionnaire with 5 levels of rating scale. The statistic for data analysis was frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and f-test by One-Way ANOVA analysis. In case of significant difference, the difference inspection in pair was conducted at the 0.05 significant difference or 95% reliability by using for Least Significant Difference (LSD) in order to compare the population.

            The result showed that 1) the morality and ethics of education administrators in Secondary School Consortium under Secondary Education 2 Bangkok was in good level ( = 4.00). When considered each aspect, it is found that the aspect of behaviour in the morality and ethics from education administrators with highest mean was the determination of justice and fairness for subordinates ( = 4.40).The second highest was the aspect of compassion and kindness based on Brahmavihara 4 concept and religious dharma ( = 4.23), the aspect in continuous learning habit to be sophisticated person ( = 4.16), the aspect of determination to work for the growth of organisation ( = 4.13), the aspect of avoidance form seeking for personal profit by cheating or using domination ( = 4.05), the aspect of honesty ( = 4.00), the aspect of being in charge of everything at work without abandoning the responsibility ( = 3.97). The aspect of behaviour in the morality and ethics from education administrators with lowest mean was avoidance from making trouble for themselves and others ( =3.93).
