Guidelines to Prevent and Solve Drug Problems with Participation from Educational Opportunity Expansion Schools Under The Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1-2

This research was aimed to 1) build up guidelines and 2) evaluate the appropriateness and possibility of guidelines to prevent and solve drug problems with participation from educational opportunity expansion schools. The study included 2 stages. Stage 1 was to create participative guidelines to prevent and solve drug problems. Data provider consisted of 5 experts in educational administration, acquired by a purposive sampling. Research instrument was a 3-level rating scale questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted through content validity. Stage 2 was conducted to evaluate the appropriateness and possibility of the constructed participative guidelines to prevent and solve drug problems. A sample consisted of school 136 school directors and teachers who were responsible for work related to prevention and solution of drug problems. Research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with the appropriateness at 0.99 and the possibility at 0.98. Data analysis was conducted using Mean, Standard Deviation, and T-test. Findings revealed that; 1) the participative guidelines to prevent and solve drug problems consisted of 5 aspects including prevention, searching, treatment, monitoring, and management following the 4 participation steps. They included participations in planning, implementing, following and assessing, and receiving benefits. The total performed items were 77 and 2) the constructed guidelines to prevent and solve drug problems with the participation from the educational opportunity expansion schools were found appropriate and possible for implementation higher than the set criteria > 3.50 and at a statistically significant level of .05.
