Abstract

This research is a qualitative research. The objective is to study the legend and the history of the red thread of fate and study the existence of the current red thread belief. From the study, it is found that the legend of red thread belief is a myth that originated from China. In the tang dynasty which the Chinese call "Hong Xian", which is believed to be a destiny young couple there will be an invisible red rope tied to the little finger of each party. Which is a matter of fate and also considered as a belief in the fulfillment of love. And at present, there are still people who believe in the legend of the red thread and paying much attention to the topic of this red thread.
