Abstract

According to the rapid development of the communication technologies, rising the new virtual society named as "Social media" that people use as a communication tools to connect with each other in anytime and anywhere. It is the virtual world in the digital era. Social media platforms are very popular, especially in adolescents. It is used for many objectives. Thereby, social media has impacted so much to adolescents' mental health and behavior. As a communication tool, social media is not only benefit but also a risk for adolescents. Moreover, the social media can be unintentional addicted when it is used too much. Therefore, it is important to understand regarding social media and adolescents' mental health in order to gain a benefit and prevent the risks including the mental health problems from social media. This article aims to present regarding social media and adolescents' mental health in the sense of strength,  limitation, and social media addiction including strategies and prevention tips to prevent mental health problems regarding social media use for the adolescents.
