The Development of Mathematics Problem Solving of Fifth Grade Students Taught by TGT Technique with Bar Model Method

Abstract

The purpose of this research were 1) to study fifth grade students’ problem solving abilities after instruction with TGT technique with bar model method and 2) to study fifth grade investigate student’s opinions towards the instruction by TGT technique with bar model method. The sample consisted of 40 fifth grade students of Bankhongmai School. Sam Phran, Nakhon Pathom Province. The research finding of the study were 1) the fifth grade students’ problem solving abilities after applying TGT technique with bar model method were statistically significant at the level of .05 whereas the problem solving abilities after applying the TGT technique with bar model method were higher than 80 % level. 2) the opinion of fifth grade student’s towards taught by TGT technique with bar model method were at a high agreement level.
