The Guidelines to Sustain the Tourism Industry: A Case Study of South Korea

The research objectives are to provide recommendations on how to sustain the Thai tourism industry by focusing on the case study of the tourism industry of the South Korea. The quantitative research approach has been applied in this research whilst a survey questionnaire is utilized as a research tool to collect data. 500 samples are from Facebook group members, Korean excursions and Thai tourists experienced in the tourism industry of the South Korea. Different statistics are applied to analyze data composed of descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicate that different demographic profiles of respondents such as occupations, incomes, educations, and so on, are statistically associated with different factors related to decision making in travelling to South Korea comprising accessibility, accommodation, process, and people. More importantly, the results show that the marital status and place of living of the respondents are statically significant with the decision making to travel to the South Korea. Hence, this could indicate that to increase the number of tourists to travel to Thailand. It may be useful to add the marital status and place of living variables to the future research to attain the more insightful information on how to promote the Thai tourism industry. In addition, the stakeholders, entrepreneur and related organizations may need to consider lessening the procedure and length of time of applying the tourism visa to enter into Thailand.
