The Application of the Board-game in Employee Training Affecting on Systematic Thinking among Supervisors

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) To study the effect of the application of the board-game in employee training on supervisor’s systematic thinking and 2) To study the effect of the application of the board-game in employee training on supervisor’s learning. The population was 48 supervisors of Thai AirAsia, all of which were trained in ‘Systematic Thinking Development’ training program. 4 research tools were used for this research which consists of 1) The systematic thinking assessment, with IOC value equal to 0.6-1.0 and the reliability of 0.96, 2) In-depth Interview questions, with IOC value equal to 0.6-1.0, 3) A 21-Day reflective thinking note. and 4) Field note. The analytical mechanisms of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Paired t-test and content analysis were used for this research’s analysis. The result revealed that 1) The application of the board-game in employee training has affected on the systematic thinking development of supervisors which was significantly increased at 0.05 level, immediately after training. In the follow-up assessment 21 days after training, the systematic thinking of supervisors was significantly increased at 0.05 level comparing to both of pre-training and post-training assessment. And The application of the board-game in employee training has constructed learnings among supervisors which led to the behavioral changes; in 3 perspectives; Notion, Emotion and Action that reflected in the key supervisory roles and responsibilities
